Asa was born in Hampton, Connecticut, on May 25, 1756, died September 6, 1834. He married Sarah Bidlack Fuller and they had 7 children. He was her second husband. Her first husband, Stephen Fuller, “with others taken by the Indians in the Wyoming battle on July 3, 1778, was led to a wheat field, where the Indians piled around them sheaves of wheat, and burned them to death.” “The fort was surrounded and taken, the men cut to pieces, and the women and children perished in the flames of the barracks.” Asa fought in the Revolutionary War with Captain Jeremiah Mason’s company.

Chauncey G, our next heir, born May 8, 1794, died January 10, 1872. He married Mary Ann Fuller on March 11, 1821. They had nine children. 7. Warren W, born October 3, 1796, died unknown, he was a joiner. On February 12, 1823, he married Maria E. Franklin.
